Treargel means ‘home of retreat’ in Cornish. The retreat is an inclusive, affirming and safe place of shelter which offers a variety of accommodation to the public, but specifically offers their repurposed shepherd hut to pilgrims walking the Cornish Celtic Way. Just 15 minutes walk from the route on the South West Coastal Path with stunning views over the fields and bay. Drinking water is available from a tap in the garden and whilst there is no heating they do offer lots of blankets or hot water bottles for the colder nights.

Treargel also offers extra comforts for an additional fee including bedding, breakfast hamper and a basic dinner hamper. See their website for details.

On Mondays anyone is welcome to join Naomi from Treargel Retreat for half an hour of collective silence.

Please note that Treargel Retreat is open to pilgrims with or without passports. It is not part of the locally organised Cornish Celtic Way church and hall Sanctuary scheme, but does feature in their accommodation listings.
