The Way of St Anthony's Well, Swansea to Llansteffan - 39 miles, 3-4 days
Embark on this pilgrimage through the ancient Catholic diocese of Menevia for a transformative spiritual journey through breath-taking Welsh countryside.
This route offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with faith, nature, and history, following in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims. It’s more than just a walk; it’s a pilgrimage to peace and reflection, from the bustle of Swansea to the peace of St Anthony’s Well in Llansteffan, 39 miles away.
According to tradition, the well was a base for the Welsh hermit, Antwn in the 6th century who took his name from St Anthony of Egypt, a strong influence on the Celtic church in the 3rd-4th centuries.
Along the way, you’ll experience stunning landscapes between the communities of South West Wales. It is a perfect retreat for both seasoned pilgrims and newcomers alike.
