Salisbury Cathedral Pilgrimage in a Day
St Edith of Wilton’s Day Way – Baverstock start – 9/11 miles – Green Line on Google Map. [optional start at Dinton]
Beautiful National Trust start up over the Down, through St Mary’s Wilton and via Constable’s view to the Cathedral.
West Dean start – 9 miles – Red Line on Google Map.
Train station start, Clarendon Way.
Old Sarum Circular (6 miles) and Linear (4 miles) Route
Old Sarum is the prehistoric spot where the arrow that hit the spot of the Cathedral was fired. This route can either be walked from the train station to Old Sarum and back to Salisbury as a circular route (using blue and yellow lines on the Google Map) OR you can catch the bus to the ‘Old Castle’ bus stop and walk from Old Sarum to Salisbury via the blue line on the Google Map.
Any pilgrim who wishes to have their pilgrim passport stamped at the tourist information centre on Fish Row can call in, in addition to being stamped at the cathedral.
