Pererindod Melangell Walk
Wales
The challenging 15 mile linear (one way) walk traces a route between the Vyrnwy and Tanat Valleys and is well waymarked.
The route starts at Pont Llogel, already on both the Glyndwr's Way and the popular Ann Griffith Walk, named after a local hymn writer who lived locally. It climbs into the Dyfnant Forest, cresting a ridgetop viewpoint before undulating through forest and along lanes to Lake Vyrnwy. Woodlands threaded with streams and waterfalls accompany the walk to the remote St. Melangell's Church, hidden in the Tanat Valley, guarded and surroundeding yew trees.
There is an additional loop via the village of Llangynog.

Discover holy places, and bring your own beliefs.
Pilgrimage by foot is connected with places and landscape, and how those places make you feel. Read about holy places.
At the British Pilgrimage Trust, we believe a pilgrimage should be made on an individual’s own terms. We are founded on the principle that we can all bring our own beliefs to the journey, accessible and welcoming to all.
