St Michael's, Michaelchurch Escley
Michaelchurch Escley, Hereford HR2 0JW
Sanctuary is provided inside the church. St Michael's is a large church for such a small community and is well know for its medieval wall paintings. Nestled in the shadow of the Black Mountains next to the Escley Brook, its a peaceful setting for a good nights sleep.
Pilgrims can find their evening meal at The Bridge Inn nearby (01981 510646) which also sells the local gin, made in a distillery just opposite the church.
