St Michael's, Kingstone
49 Green Ln, Kingstone, Hereford HR2 9EX
St Michaels Kingstone is a charming Parish Church in a rural setting. Sleep space is offered in the nave. Recently reordered, half the church is now a thriving café area with an access ramp newly installed together with an access toilet (the best in Herefordshire) and a convenient kitchenette. Breakfast & Evening Meal can be provided at the church by prior arrangement. Pilgrims can stock up on supplies in the Village Shop or have an evening meal in the local pub, The Bull Ring (01981 252998).
Its origins date from the 11th Century parts of which are still contained in the church. The Breccia Font is 13th century and the one piece dugout chest is possibly unique. It has a late 12th-century South doorway with later additions in Transitional and Early English styles.
