St Clydawg's Church, Clodock

Sleep space for pilgrims in the church community room and nave. It has a small kitchenette with hot drink making facilities, small hob and a microwave oven. Clodock Church is dedicated to St. Clydawg, King of Ewias, who was martyred about 500AD. A magnificent mid 17th C. Three decker pulpit, said to be one of the best examples in the country, dominates the Nave facing the West Gallery. The Community Room contains an interesting stone carving relating to church tithes.
Pilgrims can also benefit from the local shop Hopes of Longtown. It's a 10 minute walk and sells everything you will ever need! Enjoy local beer in the The Cornewell Arms, drinks and snacks only, bordering the churchyard. For your evening meal try The Crown Inn, 10 minute walk, full pub menu, (01873 860217).
