Accommodation is provided in Cross House next to St James’ church, which has a large main room and a smaller room for lone pilgrims. A fully equipped kitchen, toilets, hand basin wash facilities and wifi are available to pilgrims. The church is a medieval grade 1 listed building in Hampshire. Parts date back to the C12th and it contains well-preserved wall paintings, one depicting the killing of Thomas Becket.
The village of Bramley is a mile away on foot or by bus and offers a pub, village shop, bakery and a train station.
Cross House is regularly booked for events and classes so accommodation and arrival/departure times will depend upon prior bookings. For groups of 10 or more a deposit of £25 is required against damage to furniture, crockery, fittings and fabric, and to cover any additional cleaning that may be required. Return of deposit will be within 7 days subject to inspection of the premises.
