Description
A historic 200 mile cycle ride over the August Bank holiday following the route of the medieval Queen Eleanor Crosses from near Lincoln to Westminster Abbey in London. The charity ride raises money for Friends of The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields which helps London's homeless into accommodation. This pedal pilgrimage is suitable for riders of all abilities. Ample quantities of tea and cake are provided en-route!

Travel Advice
This is a leisure cycle ride suitable for all abilities, with a little training and a roadworthy bicycle. We cycle in three groups according to speed and ability with regular stops for refreshments. The departure point is Harby Village Hall, near Lincoln, which can be reached by car or we will collect you from Newark Northgate train station. The end of the ride is at Westminster Abbey, London where public transport is available for your return home.
What To Bring
A roadworthy bicycle eg hybrid, tourer, mountain bike or road bike that you can ride 200 miles on. Cycling clothes, bike equipment, change of clothing for the evening, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow and sleeping mat.. We will provide all your food, refreshments, drinks, overnight accommodation and a support vehicle to transport your luggage. Accommodation will be on church floors for two nights and in accommodation provided by supporters on one night. This is to provide a flavour of the hardship experienced by rough sleepers.
