Three Saints Way

Central Scotland, 1 week, 1-2 week

The Three Saints Way – 75 miles – 7-8 days – Killin to St Andrews. The lives of no less than three saints – Saint Kessog, Saint Fillan, and Saint Serf – are commemorated by this pilgrimage, connecting Scotland’s dramatic west coast to the rocks and hills of the east. It is hoped that this will, one day, form part of a larger route between the Holy Isle of Iona and the ecclesiastical centre at Saint Andrews. As it stands, the Three Saints Way follows the extended Fife Coastal Path, passing the abbeys at Lindores and Balmerino on the road to Saint Andrews. Follow in the footsteps of early Christian Saints as they spread their faith across the Highlands and Lowlands, and take in some of the most spectacular country Britain has to offer along the way. It is said that Saint Fillan was blessed with a glow of sanctity that allowed him to read and study in the dark – perhaps that glow will light your way, too?
